Welcome to Peru

Day 2 - Welcome to Peru!! We have felt warmly welcomed here as we reconnect with people that we met on our previous trip. It is very neat how God gave us those few days last February to connect with people here, and how those relationships have now picked up where we left off a year ago. The kids are really liking it here so far. After a day here, Nathan, lamenting the fact we are here "only for six weeks", is prepared to commit to a longer stay "next time" we come. He loves to hang out with the Bible college students, and can't get enough of the attention they give him.

Today we went to English church service in the morning, while the kids went to Spanish Sunday School (there was no English program for them). In the afternoon, we went on the regular Sunday afternoon outreach with some of the students to Magdelena Park, where we played games, sang songs, and talked about Jesus with the kids and the parents who were in the park. There are lots of opportunities to practice our very limited Spanish, and of course, the Peruvians are also looking for a chance to learn/practice English.

The pictures are from the park outreach, and as you can see Nathan, Noah and Rachel were quick to get involved! They are also really excited to have Auntie Tania here!
