A Visit from Mom and Dad

Audrey, Mel and HeatherThe kids at the beachMy parents, Mel and Audrey Kyle, have arrived in Florida for a visit. It is a blessing to spend time with them and to show them around Itec. Currently we are in St. Augustine enjoying a couple of days off. The kids especially enjoy shell hunting at the beach.

It is never boring at I-tec! This past week Evan helped Steve and Troy work on I-See, the vision assist program. The I-See program will equip indigenous believers with a sustainable small business and the skills to help fit their countrymen with affordable glasses.

There was also a team working on the "Maverick", flying car at Itec. This "car" will provide indigenous believers reliable and affordable transportation. But it's not enough just to create a vehicle, it needs to be a vehicle that can be maintained in low-resource, harsh, isolated environments. Check out this video to see an early model of the Maverick.
