Teeth

Meeting up with the Mckenna's here was really neat. Despite our lack of pre-planning, God arranged for us to be able to meet and participate with them in a dental outreach clinic in Ventanilla. There was a plan in place to use someones house for the clinic, but when we arrived, there was some sort of water leak and the home had been 'flooded' enough that we could not use it. But as we prayed, God lead us to an even better place that worked perfectly for our purpose! The Lord provided me an opportunity to learn some hands on dentistry and, under Mark's guidance, I pulled a number of teeth (with anaesthetic of course - learned that from Mark too)! Everyone also got a toothbrush and a lesson from Mervi on how to use it properly.

Outside, Albert and others from the Bible college held a ministry for the kids, and acted out the account of David & Goliath. The kids got right involved as well helping with disinfecting instruments, playing with the kids, and Minja played the violin and gave an impromptu Irish dancing demonstration with Heather playing fiddle!
