Evan and I will be at the CC Spring Valley Missions Conference this week. It is our hope to learn as much as we can about missions from those who are active in overseas work. We are especially looking forward to the workshops on starting an orphanage and coordinating short-term mission teams. Please pray that God will direct our steps and bless our time.

Please continue to pray for my physically healing. The kids and I were in a car accident on September 11th. The kids are doing well and healing up quickly. I am definitely better than just after the accident, but the recovery is slow. I had no idea how difficult whiplash could be. I have felt a few times like I was hit by a Mack truck. We believe it is spiritual opposition to our going. Please pray for our protection during this time of transition.

One good thing that has come out of the accident is the insurance company wrote off our van, giving us a faster, and believe it or not, less complicated sale than we would have gotten on the open market. We had asked the Lord to help us sell the van, we just didn't figure it would be a few months earlier than we expected! My dad has graciously lent us his car. Good thing. I can't imagine shopping for a car just months before leaving.
