A Light to Our Path

"Lampara es a mis pies tu palabra y lumbrera a mi camino"
Salmo 119:105
"Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path"
Psalm 119:105

Prayer request: Please pray for our friend, Estella. The other night she slipped and fractured her ankle. Evan went with Estella, her husband (Philomeno) and daughter (Marysol) to a public hospital in Central Lima for care. She will require surgery for this injury. Yesterday we found out that a lady next to Estella in the hospital room has waited 1 month and still hasn't had her emergency surgery. It is a burden on the family to have Estella in the hospital for that long and they need their mom back at home. Please pray for healing, for God's provision, and for a prompt surgery date ....and we complain about our health care system?

Update: I just heard that the surgery is booked for this Monday. That is amazing and the family is encouraged. Please continue to pray because the scheduled date is not set in stone. Thanks for being an active member of the ministry team by praying for the needs here.

~Yesterday our Spanish teacher/babysitter for the kids let us know that she will be unable to teach our kids due to health issues. The kids have been without a teacher for 3 weeks and we are now looking for replacement. We appreciate prayer for this.

UPDATE: This morning at Ladies Bible Study I spoke to a friend has worked as a nanny. She just found out that she is out of a job and requires work. Yesterday she spent her day fasting and praying concerning a new job. What an answer to prayer for both of us! Betty is a great babysitter and she was able to start today. She is from the jungle, speaks little English, and loves to teach and play. Today while playing a game of tag, Noah climbed up a tree to escape Betty. Nathan said Noah's eyes were big a saucers when he saw Betty kick off her sandals and follow him up...to the top!! Thanks for praying!
