Friends and Football

Last weekend Evan had the opportunity to attend the Calvary Chapel Men's Retreat with some men from our church. It was a time of encouragement for him. Being that we have just two weeks to complete the initial module of IMED, it was a much needed break before the crunch! Writing the IMED curriculum has been a stretching experience for all of us.

Since Evan was away, the kids and I decided to invite friends for a sleepover. Some of the Saint children joined us for fun and games at Rainbow Springs. What great kids (and so cute, too!) Rachel is so pleased to have Joy and Marilou as new girlfriends after having so few girls to play with in Peru, Noah and Jacob love to rough and tumble and Nathan loves to take care of little John John. The evening didn't hold much rest for me, but it was a lot of fun.

One of Nathan's dreams is to play football in the CFL (Canadian Football League). He has asked many times to play football, but it has never worked out. Being that we move around so much I certainly didn't think he would have the opportunity while in Florida. Last week we learned that a church down the street from our home has a youth league. Nathan was invited to play even though he is much younger. He is having such a great time with the older guys and loves the competition.
