I thought you might like to see this photo of Evan, Raquel and Noe at the Magdalena outreach on Sunday afternoon. The kids had a wonderful time playing with the peruvian kids. Evan had some fun, too!
Evan and I want to thank those of you who have sent encouraging emails. We love reading them and hearing about what's going on in Calgary and abroad. If you click on our email link, you can email us. We also email us at our old email addresses. No need to update your address books. As well, you can leave a comment on our site. Evan has changed the restrictions so you no longer need a gmail account to leave a comment. This is a fun way for you to share with the other blog readers!
Could you please join with us in praying for Darcy, one of the interns at the college. She is currently leading a short term mission trip to Iquitos (jungle). We just received word that she is ill and struggling. If any of you remember the story of the student who cut her leg last year and the Lord stopped the bleeding, it is the same person. Darcy has a tremendous amount of responsibility in leading a team from CC Corvallis and acting as an interpreter. They have plans to go on an overnight in the jungle and plans to spend time in Belen and El Terminal. Darcy has a heart for the people in the jungle and desires to return when her internship is finished. The enemy would love to take her out. Please pray for healing and protection.
Albert Smith is back in Iquitos for the next few days helping with this trip. You can read about Iquitos and Albert by checking out the "Iquitos" link. Currently, Albert and Darcy are taking our medical missions class. Since returning to Iquitos on Saturday, Albert has been in contact with 3 different people with serious medical problems. We have started refering to him as Dr. Smith. I think he'd rather have his old job back! Please pray for wisdom and protection for him and the CC Corvallis team.
Come along with us!
This is the chronicle of our journey in faith and service that started in Peru. Explore our previous trip, and keep up to date with what is happening now as we work with ITEC in Florida, and with national believers in South America as well as other parts of the world. We'd love to hear from you - so comment on the postings, or send us an email!
