Life in Florida

On the move again, we are adjusting and getting into life here in small town Florida. We have been welcomed and well looked after by the folks here at ITEC.

The kids are quite happy here and that makes it much easier to be away from home. We are renting a home near a beautiful state park called Rainbow Springs State Park. The natural springs and jungle-like landscape make it a fun place to visit. So far we have made a daily routine of swimming in the icy waters. Good thing the weather is still so warm in September. As you can see from the photo, lizard hunting is a favourite sport as well.

Another highlight is the local library. Currently we do not have a land line or internet at our house, so the library is our best connection to the internet. The kids also love to have access to so many books after a hiatus from libraries. I don’t think the librarians knew what to think when our kids thanked them profusely for helping them to find a favourite book. With the Park and the library to keep them busy, the kids should do fine here.

Evan is working full days at the ITEC office and I’m spending half days in the office while the kids finish their school in the conference room. It takes a while to get up to speed on what has been accomplished on the IMED project and what our role in the production stage. Evan is involved in both the curriculum writing and the computer/video side of the work.

Please continue to pray for us as we seek the Lord concerning the implementation of IMED - the Lord is at work in this area and we look forward to see what He does. Your continued prayers in this area are much appreciated.
